I have two older sisters and they're both prettier than me. I used to be terribly jealous of them because when I was twelve, the few years' difference seemed like ages to me. For me they were big ladies as though cut out from a fashion magazine. I remember looking at them with a mixture of blind admiration and untempered envy. And as soon as they statred dating with boys, I went furious. So did my parents when I started patting loads of make-up and pour bottles of parfume on myself. Not to mention the efforts of trying to wear my sisters' clothes. Yet it wasn't before long that I started going out with boys my sisters would consider picking up from me and thus joining the 'family glamour club'. Today my sisters are my best friends and old photographs and memories always make us have a good laugh.
